    General Instructions

    1. Every department’s In-charge is a secondary 3E/3N/4N guide. I/Cs, your role is very crucial! Your members will be looking to you for guidance and assistance. Please help them as much as you can. However, if you are ever unsure of anything, please don’t give them a random answer! Consult your overseers (the CLs/YALs/senior guides).

    2. Sec 4 guides who aren’t given any leadership for the campfire, please provide your expertise! Teach the junior guides how to do all their various tasks and pass on the knowledge :D Try not to do too much yourself, just tell them how to and guide them while they’re doing. No slacking! :D

    3. If your department finishes early and you’re completely sure that you have nothing else to do, please inform your YA-in-charge and then go and help the other departments. Do not congregate and talk! Esp. for the recruits/junior guides, please go learn singing when you’re done. The senior guides can go teach singing and help Ellyna! :D

    4. Please do everything properly! We have a lot of guides and sufficient time so don’t rush. We don’t want things to fall apart halfway.

    5. Lastly, enjoy the campfire! :D


    SONGS

    Things you have to do:

    1. Go through the list of songs, prioritize – we will not have enough time for all the songs. Place them in order so that we will definitely sing the important ones. Easy-to-learn-ones come next too

    2. Teach the recruits in your department the songs and make sure they know them. Ellyna (song leader), refine your teaching methods. You can borrow June, Wen Hui, Trina, Desirae, Fei Min (the other song leaders) when you’re all ready and make sure you all know what to do.

    3. Have some backup song leaders, etc.

    4. Your department people should be the most familiar with the songs so be sure to all space out during the actual campfire! :D

    5. When you’re done, the senior guides stay and let the recruits go to learn other stuff. Then find the recruits who’re free and teach them songs :D

    6. During the actual campfire, there’ll be 6 of you so rotate between yourselves, no more than 3 song leaders at one time is best. The others can space out between the non-guides to help to guide them through the songs. Also identify some of the senior guides (Sec 3,4,5) who can help you with this song teaching during the campfire. Speak to them before the campfire and get them to space out and help to guide too. They can sit in 2s or 3s but preferably not more than that.

    COOKING

    Buy less than 200 portions of the following food items: Sausages, corn cobs (remember that they will be cut!), Chocolates (More of these – each banana has more than one), Bananas, Marshmallows, Drink

    Other things you need: Wooden skewers, Disposable plates, Disposable sporks, Disposable cups, Serviettes, Aluminium Foil, Margarine, Aluminium trays, solid fuel, charcoal, spade, fire lighter, Grill for sausages, Knives, Mess Tins, Charcoal Tongs, Food Tongs, Ice

    1. On the actual day, prepare all the food! Margarine the corn and wrap them in foil, prepare the chocolate bananas, Make the drink (just a while before the cooking starts)

    2. Set up a sort of cooking station at the netball court to put all the food
