9:15 PM HELLO this site is getting a little dusty so I'm here to dust off a few cobwebs. EXCITING things happened since we last posted, and our dear Mrs Heng asked me to blog them down but I have STM and have FORGOTTEN a lot of stuff :( Things that definitely happened are: 1) East Division Day, where we participated in all the competitions and won 2 GOLDS! i) Poster competition and ii) Trophy-making competition. ok, it wasn't called trophy-making competition, but I've forgotten what it was called :( 2) Dear Lefty Gan became Lefty HENG. WHOOOO 3) ___________ this is where my memory blanks out. now, on to things that are definitely HAPPENING or GOING TO HAPPEN: 1) Total Defence badgework (ongoing) you are all doing now, the last thing we're going to do is visit Ford Factory 2) National Heritage badgework where you guides are all going to become intrepid explorers of the old colonial area 3) THINKING DAY stuff! i) banner painting we have two banners and exciting designs coming your way woohoo! ii) thinking day song where we're all (hopefully) going to have our very own one moment of glory. be ready for cameras being poked in your faces and an excited crazy woman asking you to "SING THE THINKING DAY SONG FOR ME" 4) SERVICE at christalite home!! where you will all learn how to do MENDING, SWEEP, MOP, do LAUNDRY, PAINT WALLS, help in PHYSIOTHERAPY, and other damn useful things. and realise that the world is not just the happy disney princess world your own little life might be. 5) KC family day where we're gonna be manning 3 (I think) stalls 6) Training camp because our gadgets are sad. very sad. and our canvas tent pitching must always be practiced. and our outdoor cooking skills must be honed so that in the future you can save the day at all your friends' barbecues. and we must learn about all things CAMPFIRE. a large portion of which is of course, singing and we learn craft so we can become crafty people among other things. WHOO! REMEMBER TO BRING NEWSPAPER AND AT LEAST 3 CANS. 7) Sec 1 book-buying day I have no idea what to call this day... we're going to help aunty Shirley at the bookshop deal with the crazy chaos of 2345984760234985 new sec 1s and their parents descending on her to buy school books and other necessaries. WHOOOOO all these things in Nov. and Dec. 2010. Isn't this exciting. XD |
